Brief
The client’s brief was to transform the existing ageing swimming pool and surrounding terrace into a space that matched the architectural quality of the newly renovated residence while maximising the spectacular harbour outlook.

Approach
The original pool was dated in form and finish, with irregular curves and limited functional seating. Our approach was to modernise the pool geometry while working within the structural limitations of the existing shell and the elevated site conditions.

The pool structure was carefully modified to square up the internal lines and create a more contemporary form that aligned with the clean architectural language of the house. New entry steps and an integrated bench seat were constructed to improve accessibility, comfort and functionality for family use and entertaining. The pool interior was completely resurfaced with new mosaic tiling to deliver a refined, high-end finish that enhances the clarity and colour of the water. Surrounding pool terraces were reconfigured with large format stone paving to create a seamless connection between the house, outdoor entertaining areas and the pool zone. To achieve the client’s vision of an open and unobstructed outlook, frameless glass pool fencing was installed around the perimeter, allowing uninterrupted views across the harbour while maintaining safety compliance.

Outcome/Result
The result is a highly functional and visually striking pool environment that complements the home’s modern architecture and takes full advantage of the elevated coastal setting. The renovated pool now serves as a central feature of the outdoor living space, providing a sophisticated yet practical environment for relaxation, entertaining and family use.
